DeLand PAL begins April cooking program

The DeLand Police Athletic League kicked off its cooking program which will run through the month of April. 

On Saturday, April 8th, PAL kids gathered at the Elusive Grape where owner Bill Budzinski hosted the class. DPAL would like to thank the business for supporting DPAL.

Last month, PAL focused on Youth Archery with Coach Willie Johnson, DPD Sgt. Tagle, Sgt. Santos and Lt. Stimpson. Kids gathered weekly to learn how to safely play the sport.

PAL is a unique, non-profit joint venture between The DeLand Police Department and the Greater DeLand Area Community. We provide young people with positive role models, help them build self-esteem, and give them a safe place for activities. A local volunteer PAL Board of Directors oversees the operations.
