(DeLand, Florida) – Two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries following a crash Wednesday afternoon on State Road 44.
Around 3:13 p.m., a black Nissan coupe was heading east on SR-44. As the vehicle was approaching County Road 4139, the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over.
One of the occupants, a minor, was ejected from the vehicle and was flown to an Orlando hospital with life-threatening injuries. A second occupant was taken to a Sanford hospital, also with life-threatening injuries.
The DeLand Police Department Motor Unit responded to the scene. The cause remains under investigation.
