Authorities have secured first-degree murder charges against three suspects in an attempted carjacking that left one dead.
John Torres, 22, Isaiah Thomas, 21, and Nassan Bacon, 22, were all indicted this week for first-degree murder in connection to a carjacking that occurred May 22 outside Florida Technical College, 1199 South Woodland Boulevard, where a man was shot and later died of his injuries.
Thomas and Torres were already in Volusia County Branch Jail on charges related to another attempted carjacking on May 21 outside Walmart at 1699 North Woodland Boulevard.
Bacon was arrested Thursday in coordination with the Volusia Sheriff’s Office. Video of his arrest can be seen here: https://youtu.be/yT_uqp-Y-28
Estella Luna, 24, was arrested in West Palm Beach was also arrested on outstanding warrants related to the attempted carjacking outside Walmart. She is charged with principal to carjacking, principal to burglary, assault, and battery.
More charges and arrests are pending in this case. The investigation is active and ongoing.
