On Wednesday May 18th, the DeLand Police Department was honored to host a D.A.R.E. graduation ceremony for students at Stetson Baptist School who completed the 10-week course for the 2021/22 school year. The D.A.R.E. program teaches 5th grade students numerous life skills, such as leadership, confidence, problem solving skills, communication skills and how to resist and stay out of bad situations.
The D.A.R.E. program is offered free of charge to private and public schools serviced by the DeLand Police Department.
