Second suspect in barber robbery arrested
A second suspect wanted in connection to a December 2020 incident in which a barber was beaten and robbed has been arrested.
Damian Crafton, 29, surrendered to deputies with the Volusia Sheriff's Office Friday on outstanding warrants of robbery with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery and aggravated abuse of a disabled adult.
Crafton is believed to be the main attacker, who is seen on surveillance footage punching the unsuspecting victim several times. Investigators believe Crafton at the time of the robbery was armed with brass knuckles. A second attacker, Malik Sanchez, is seen running across the parking lot to join in the assault.
Sanchez was arrested in February and is facing the same charges.
Crafton remains in the Volusia County Branch Jail with bond set at $40,000.
