(DeLand, Florida) – The DeLand Police Department's second annual "Shop with a Cop" event was a success, as families and officers came together for a great community gathering.

Friday night, DeLand police officers, staff and volunteers teamed up with 75 kids from the DeLand Police Athletic League and Hope Forest Academy, helping them select Christmas gifts at the north end Walmart. 

This event was made possible through the generous support of Walmart, which graciously welcomed the families and helped create a memorable experience.
