
DeLand Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a robbery suspect and the suspect’s vehicle.
At 2:13 p.m. Thursday December 19, a black male wearing a white long sleeve shirt, prescription type glasses and a blue baseball style hat entered the Fairwinds Credit Union located at 302 East New York Avenue in DeLand.
The male approached a teller, handed the teller a note demanding money and implied he was armed. The teller complied and the male left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. The male walked to a nearby apartment complex and met with another male who was waiting for him and driving a Ford SUV. The male entered the vehicle and they drove away from the area.
The vehicle is described as a four door, blue/gray color, 2001 through 2007 Ford Escape with a roof rack and the front passenger side window missing with plastic taped to the window frame.
