Police respond to domestic disturbance, one dead from self-inflicted gunshot wound

One man died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound following a domestic disturbance early Wednesday morning.

Police responded at about 12:01 a.m. Wednesday to a domestic disturbance at 831 West Beresford Avenue. It was reported that gunshots may have also been fired during the incident.

A female involved in the incident was able to leave the residence and communicated to officers that the male resident had threatened her with violence and also threatened to die by suicide. Officers attempted to make contact with the male inside the residence with no success. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and upon entering the residence officers located the male, who had died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
