The DeLand Police Department wants to remind everyone to be sure and lock your car when not using it.  Under no circumstances leave car keys in the vehicle, and always take valuables such as personal identification, purses, cases, backpacks, lap tops with you when parking the car. It is tempting to store items in the vehicles but again this can make a good target for thieves.
