DPD Youth Cadets Attending the Central Florida Explorer Academy 

The DeLand Police Department is proud to have ten of our Youth Cadets attending the Central Florida Law Enforcement Academy over the next two weeks. While at the Academy, the cadets will lean about different aspects of Law Enforcement. The Explorer Academy is held every summer at the campus of Seminole State College and is sponsored by the Seminole County Sheriff's P.A.L. office. 

The DPD Youth Cadet program is open to all youth between the ages of 12 - 20 years of age and meets every Tuesday at 7:00 PM at the DeLand Police Department Community Meeting Room. The program is designed to teach youth about the emergency responder field and develop leadership skills.
