On Tuesday, May 10th, the DeLand Police Department Youth Cadet program was pleased to honor one of our cadets, John Bodger on his last night with the program.
Lt. John Bodger has been an active member of the DeLand Police Department Youth Cadet program for the last 4 years and active with DHS ROTC program. While a member of the Cadet program, John has been an active member and supervisor of the Honor Guard team which participates in various parades and programs to present our nations flag. John will be graduating from DHS and soon be attending classes to receive his EMT certification. John will be truly missed by our Cadets.
The DeLand Police Department Youth Cadets is a program offered by the Police Department to youths between the ages of 12-20 years of age. The intent of the program is to expose youth to the world of Law Enforcement and first responders.
The Cadet program meets every Tuesday night (with the exception of Federal holidays) at 7 PM in the Community Room located at the Police Department, 219 W. Howry Ave.
