The DeLand Police Department has noticed an uptick in the number of car burglaries in the past couple of months.  We continue to remind members of the community to remove valuables from your vehicle and lock the doors.  In addition, it seems that multiple weapons have been stolen from unlocked cars so we ask that everyone be a responsible gun owner and either don't leave any weapons in vehicles or, if you must, make certain to use good security practices and lock those doors!
