DPD Appreciation Night at Melching Field

The Stetson Baseball Team and Athletic Department hosted DeLand Police Department Appreciation Night Tuesday to recognize the department.

Chief Jason Umberger threw out the first pitch and Captain Prurince Dice sang the National Anthem before the game vs. Siena College.

Stetson University dedicated the game to the department to honor personnel for their service and thank the Professional Standards Division.

Recently, the division gave the team an opportunity to use DPD’s new simulator and go through the obstacle course.
