Donations made by Trinity United Methodist Church/HOPE Ministry
Last week the DeLand Police Department received emergency supplies from the H.O.P.E., a ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church. The H.O.P.E. ministry was founded to help raise awareness of Human Trafficking in West Volusia and provide care and housing to victims.
Members of the program donated 30 emergency help bags, 8 back packs filled with school supplies and gift cards for Wal-Mart and Target in the amount of $175.00.
The back packs were delivered to Edith I. Starke Elementary school to help students in need and the emergency help bags and gift cards were provided to our Victim Advocate, Ms. Selena Robinette.
A special thank you to the H.O.P.E. ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church for this generous donation.
