The City of DeLand is proud to welcome two new officers.
Vincent Mouzon (left), a native of Orlando, Florida, served six years in the United States Army as a Multimedia Illustrator before reenlisting in the United States Air Force, where he dedicated an additional 12 and a half years as a Broadcast Journalist. His military assignments took him across the United States and overseas, including deployments in Korea, Japan, Portugal, and Afghanistan. Following his retirement from the military, Mr. Mouzon spent seven years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Visual Information Specialist and later worked two years as a commercial truck driver. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Design as well as Associate degrees in Audio Visual Production Services and Business Administration. He and his wife, Anne Mouzon, are proud parents of five children: Jordan, Grace, Victoria, Jordyn, and Aiden.

Robert Covino (right), was born and raised in Goffstown, New Hampshire. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and continues to serve actively with CLB 451 Motor T Company based in Orlando, Florida. Now 21 years old, Robert thrives in structured, feedback-oriented environments and embraces continuous learning to refine his abilities as a public servant. Outside of his military duties, he enjoys running, playing soccer, and spending time outdoors. As he prepares to take the oath of office, Robert brings with him the leadership, discipline, and unwavering commitment that have shaped his journey. These qualities will support him in building a distinguished career in law enforcement.
