
Police have arrested one suspect and are searching for another in connection to a shooting in late September.
Jarvis Carr, 19, (DOB: 8/4/02) was recently arrested on an outstanding warrant for Armed Trafficking in Morphine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to sell, Possession of a Firearm by Convicted in State Felon, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia.
Carr is believed to have been in one of two vehicles involved in a gun battle that started in the early morning hours on September 30. The shooting between the two vehicles began at the 7-Eleven at 1043 West New York Avenue, continued north on State Road 15A, east on U.S. 92 and then south on North Woodland Boulevard before ending at another 7-Eleven convenience store at 319 North Woodland Boulevard. That location sustained gunfire with damage to the front windows of the building. No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
So far, Carr has been uncooperative with detectives regarding the case.
Police are also searching for another suspect in the case (pictured below): Limuel Yarn III, 20 (DOB: 11/12/00). Yarn has ties to both the DeLand and Daytona Beach area.
The investigation is ongoing.
