The DeLand Police Department on a quarterly and annual basis presents awards for outstanding service by Officer and Civilians in the performance of their Duties.
Here you will see the men and women who receive those awards:
While officers were on routine patrol, they made contact with a suspicious subject. Once contact was made and his personal information was obtained; it was discovered that there was an open warrant out of Volusia County for his arrest. Subject was taken into custody at that time without incident.
Law Enforcement received a call about a male inside Publix that was hiding merchandise in his pants. Subject ran out of the store after being approached by Loss Prevention. Subject was located hiding behind a trash dumpster at a local car dealership, taken into custody without incident.
On 11/03/2017 the defendant was observed by Loss Prevention entering the Publix located 299 E International Speedway, Deland. The defendant then selected and concealed coffee products in her purse and exited the store passing all points of sale. The defendant was arrested.
Officers where dispatched to DeLand's Probation and Parole office where they made contact with the defendant. The defendant was found to have a open and active warrant out of Volusia County. The defendant was arrested.
Law Enforcement officers were dispatched to Wal-Mart in reference to a female that was on the property after being trespassed. Once on scene, officers made contact with female and confirmed the previous trespass. She was taken into custody without further incident.
