The DeLand Police Department on a quarterly and annual basis presents awards for outstanding service by Officer and Civilians in the performance of their Duties.

On June 27th 2018 at approximately 9:25 pm , Deland Police Officers made contact with the Defendant who had an instate arrest warrant. Officers placed the Defendant in handcuffs double locked and checked for tightness and then was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail with out incident.

On 06/27/2018 officers were conducting extra patrol at Walmart located at 1699 N. Woodland Blvd when they came in contact with the defendant who officers had previous knowledge that he was trespassed from the establishment. A records check was conducted and confirmed that he was in fact trespassed...
On 06/14/2018 officers were dispatched to the Seven Eleven ,319 N. Woodland Blvd., in regards to Roy Bissember ,46, who had previously been given a trespass warning for the property. He was arrested for returning to the business.
On 06/07/2018 officers were dispatched to the lobby of the DeLand Police Department to meet with Jennifer Hixon, 40, after she reported dropping property during a shoplifting incident. It was discovered during the investigation that Hixson had a warrant out for her arrest.
On 06/10/2018 officers conducted at traffic stop in the area of South Woodland Blvd. and Firehouse Road, Deland. The driver was identified as Cynthia Mackenzie, 38, and she was found to have open warrant.
On 06/09/2018 officers were dispatched to Publix ,299 E. International Speedway Blvd., for a suspicious person. Katie L. Jones was identified as the person in question and it was determined she had an open warrant.
On 06/07/18 officers responded to 1032 N. Woodland Blvd. in reference to a subject that was causing a disturbance in the business. Upon arrival, officers encountered Shawn Killingbeck. He was under the influence of alcohol and was causing a disturbance by accosting customers.
