Created May 23rd, 2023 | Updated Jun 6th, 2023

The DeLand Police Department youth camping trip was a success this past weekend at Florida Elks Youth Camp in Umatilla.

DPAL (DeLand Police Athletic League) partnered with the DPD Youth Cadets for the three-day camp, bringing 10 kids from each program.

Coach Willie Johnson, Sgt. Tagle, Lt. Stimpson and Ofc. Hancock led the camp, focusing on leadership building activities.

DPD would like to thank the camp facility for providing a great experience to the kids, including a ropes course and rock climbing.
