(DeLand, FL) – The DeLand Police Department and Volusia County Sheriff’s Office are partnering together to teach children about bicycle safety.
On Saturday, February 10, officials from both agencies will hold a Bike Rodeo, which will teach children the confidence of riding a bicycle in a safe and careful manner by going through a series of skill stations. Check-in for the rodeo will begin at 8 a.m. and the event will be from 10 a.m.- noon at the City of DeLand Public Safety Complex, 219 West Howry Avenue.
Please bring your bicycle and helmet, which are required.
The rodeo is for children ages 7 to 10 and will be limited to 40 children. Each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
