DeLand PD seeking public's help in nabbing car burglars

An arrest has been made on multiple car burglaries that have occurred throughout the city of DeLand.  Thanks to the many tips provided by citizens and extensive police work, Joseph Evans has been arrested.  More information regarding the arrest is forthcoming.

(DeLand, FL) - DeLand Police are seeking the public's help in nabbing car burglars that may be responsible for a rash of burglaries over the past two months.

The method of burglary has been to both unlocked vehicles and through forced entry to locked vehicles by breaking of one of the windows. These burglaries have been in the above pictured locations including the following subdivisions: Cascades Park, Crystal Cove, Victoria Trails, Commons and Hills, Bent Oaks, and Glenwood Springs. Items taken during these burglaries include personal items left in plain view such as electronics, purses, back packs, wallets and loose change.
