
Update: Incident at DHS Football Game
UPDATE: The DeLand Police Department has charged two additional subjects in the altercation at a DeLand High School football game on September 2nd.
Christopher Ashford (19) and Cameron Cuthrell (18) have both been charged with disorderly conduct and disruption of school function.
Additional charges of disorderly conduct and disruption of school function have been added for Jake Ross (22) who was arrested at the game for resisting an officer without violence.
At this time, Jayvion Barthel (19) who was seen with a gun during the altercation is still at-large. If you see him or know of his whereabouts please contact law enforcement immediately.

On Friday, September 2, several males engaged in a fight during a DeLand High School football game inside the Spec Martin Stadium.
The fight stemmed from an ongoing dispute in the Spring Hill area. As DeLand Officers attempted to break up the fight, a black male subject subsequently identified as Jayvion Barthel (19) produced a small black semi-automatic firearm from his sweatshirt. Barthel then fled the scene before he could be taken into custody.
A no bond warrant was signed by Judge Myers for possessing a weapon on school property, possession of a firearm by an in-state delinquent convicted of a felony, and disorderly conduct.
A second subject involved in the fight, Jake Ross (22) was taken into custody for resisting officers without violence. The investigation is ongoing. Barthel is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him or know of his whereabouts please contact law enforcement immediately.
