On November 4th, 2018 at around 9:15 pm, Deland Officers responded to the scene of a hit and run motor vehicle crash with injuries. While on scene gathering information another call was called in where a motor vehicle fitting the suspect vehicle description crashed into a fence. Officers responded to the scene of the second accident and started an investigation. Through a witness it was stated that the suspect did hit the vehicle in the original crash. When the suspect was questioned by the officers he was informed of his Miranda Warnings and the suspect driver admitted to crashing into the 1st car and also crashing into a fence. He said he ran because he was scared because his drivers license was suspended. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail with out incident and was also issued 3 citations pertaining to the crashes.
