On 05/30/2018 officers were conducting bicycle patrol within the 900-Block of South Clara, a known area for high narcotic activity. As officers were traveling northbound they noticed that there was two pedestrians also walking in the same direction as they were. As the officers got closer one of the males stepped out into the roadway and asked officers, "Hey you got a pipe?". Officers conducted an investigation on the male and it was discovered that he had narcotics in his possession. The defendant was arrested and taken to the branch jail without further incident.
