While officers were on routine patrol, they noticed suspicious persons sitting in a vehicle parked in someone's yard. After waiting and observing the subjects, they finally left that location, where officers fell in behind the vehicle. During that time, the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. At that time the police officer attempted a traffic stop. The driver kept driving, obeying traffic laws. When they approached the next stop sign the vehicle sped up and fled the area. Officer cut off his lights and siren and waited in the area. A few minutes later a subject stopped another officer in the area about a vehicle that sped into a drive way and the subjects ran into the house. When officers arrived, they discovered the vehicle was the same that fled. Contact was made with subjects in the house. The female that exited the residence was the driver and observed throwing something on the ground when she exited. She was taken into custody at that time. The item was retrieved and found to be narcotics. When her information was ran, it came back that she didn't have a valid driver license and also had an open warrant out of Volusia County. She was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail without further incident.
