On September 26th, 2018 at around 3:30 am, Deland Officers observed a vehicle leaving a known narcotics area with out tail lights on. The officers conducted a traffic stop and immediately were able to smell the strong odor of cannabis in the vehicle. Also in plain view was a large zip lock bag that had multiple white in color "rock like" substances. The Suspect was removed from the vehicle and detained while officers searched the rest of the vehicle. The Suspect uttered to officers that the substance in the bag was imitation narcotics. Officers tested the substance and it did not test positive for narcotics. However the suspect was arrested to the attempt to deliver, manufacture and sell imitation narcotics. The suspect was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail with out incident.
