On November 11, 2018, officers responded to Earl Brown Park in reference to a suspicious person. As officers arrived on scene they noticed a male sitting in the park after hours. The suspect identified himself and as the officers were investigating, the male then began to flee on foot from officers. Officers were then able to place the suspect in handcuffs that were double locked and checked for tightness. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail without incident and a new trespass warning was issued to the suspect.
